  • Setting Component 8-Bit US 48 KHz to 44.1 KHz for IOLA

    Hello,

I am working on a project and the person working on the mix has loaded his audio in at 44.1 KHz. To make his life a little easier I am trying to reset the AJA IOLA preset component YPbPR Betacam 8-Bit NTSC US 48 KHz to handle 44.1 KHz. I have copied this preset and gone into the edit function. It does not seem to want to let me assign a 44.1 KHz setting, only 48 KHz. I have not digitized any of my footage yet so even though it seems wierd that the final mix would be done before the edit, because of the specific situation this is possible. It is a taping of a live theater performance

Is there a way for me to do this or do I have to tell him to redig his material or convert it over?

Any help is always greatly appreciated.

    Take care,
    Rich Sims

    Hello everyone,

I just heard from AJA. The long and short of this is that it is only 48 KHz. but apparently if you have a sequence set to 48 and you through in a 44.1 the timing won’t change, which I thought it would. The 44.1 will play out of the system at 48 KHz though.

    Thanks again everyone.

    Take care,
    Rich
