Are there shortcut keys to set In and Out points on clips in the timeline?

I’m used to doing this in other NLEs, and I can’t seem to find shortcut keys for it in Vegas 7.

I want to set the scrub bar in the timeline over a selected clip, and just hit a key to trim the in or out point to the current scrub bar position.

There must be a way to do this, right?

    Thanks.

Well, you could hit S to split the clip at that point, then delete the unwanted bit. I tend to just drag with the trim tool to snap with the cursor position in a case like that.

Yeah, both of those methods do work, and I’ve tried both, but hitting one key is quicker.

No shortcut keys for it, though, eh?

I’m just surprised it doesn’t have that.

Once the event is on the timeline, the way to shorten it is split and delete as Gary said, or drag the edges …

    BUT

If you open the clip in the Trimmer, you can hit I for In, O for Out then A for add to Timeline at cursor position.
