set in & out in AME? – Source Settings is greyed out
I’m still fairly new to AME (7) but have done my share of exporting from Premiere CC and see the similarities in the interface. Dumb question – in AME I’m trying to find where I can set in & out points for the Qt I am exporting/compressing. Thought that it involved right-clicking on the source file in the Queue and selecting Source Setting to call up the Viewer to set the in & out points but that Source Settings selection is greyed out. What am I missing?

In the Source Setting, the bottom of the window that shows you the preview of your file there is a selection called Source Range, change it from Entire Clip to Custom and move the little triangles to set your In/Out points.

That is exactly my dilemma, I don’t see or seem to have that Viewer window in AME 7. Looking at this Overview page from Adobe I don’t see it either (in Premiere yes but my task does not involve Premiere CC)

For the tests I’m doing I can compress from within Premiere CC and get the familiar Viewer with ability to set in/outs within its Export window… I just don’t how to access/display this same Viewer window within AME

I guess as a follow-on I’d ask why a Viewer (where one can set and in & out) is not one of the 4 default windows in the AME interface?
btw Joe the reason I’m not running the latest version of AME is because I want to be able to work with Qt reference files and the the latest versions give error msgs with these files, however v7 works with them
