Can someone explain the steps to getting SCC to work? I RARELY, if ever, can get it to work.

BTW: I just installed Build 563 for 64-bit.

    I don’t believe it’s working correctly. Looks like a bug. 🙁

After selecting the color you have to manually change the hue, saturation, & luminance settings which kind of defeats the purpose of having the automatic selection tool in the first place.

    I do that.

I first click the eye dropper tool next to Select Effect Range.

Then, in the Video Preview window, I select the color that I want. (I actually drag the dropper to select variations of that color.)

Then, I click the checkbox next to Show Mask.

The Video Preview window simply turns white.

I adjust the sliders under the Limit Luminance, Limit Saturation, and Limit Hue options. Nothing.

That’s interesting. When I do it, the preview turns black and I adjust the sliders to bring in the white mask. It shouldn’t do either of these. It should show the black and while mask right away. Try not dragging. try selecting one color. Either way, it’s broken big time.

    Any suggestions?

I take it contacting Sony will be a waste of time. They’re not too responsive.

Uncheck Limit Luminance and Limit Saturation and you should see the mask again. What I think is happening is that it’s not selecting the limits correctly. I did the same test in Vegas Pro 11.0 and I got different numbers. When I plugged those numbers into Vegas Pro 12.0 the mask was fine. So Select effect range is broken but you can fix it manually.
