    Howdy all!
    my situation:
Already own and use CS3 AE on my mac 2×2.8 Quad-core running 10.5.8
My client forwarded me a cs4 project.
I downloaded CS4 AE and installed demo … decided to buy the upgrade … bought the upgrade … installed with new serial number …
the Prompt asked me for my CS3 Serial number … I understand …However I am working off site and do not have access to my box with the serial number that CS3AE came in. I did the obvious to find the CS3 Serial number on the launch splash page but it no longer resides there it seems. Bummer …
Does anyone here know how to find the CS3 serial number on my machine? Some sort of registry I gather but can’t pin point it.
As always – THANKS much in advanced for any assistance!
    Cheers

This is the sort of thing that Adobe Customer Service should help with.

ANSWER – to my own question!
Did some digging and found out: Incase anyone else needs help with this one …

If you have registered your product with Adobe then you can find all the serial numbers you have registered by going to the Adobe.com website. Sign in and go to Your account. Somewhere in there is a link to your registered Adobe products!
Solves my problem for now … however I am still going to investigate how to extract from one’s computer a serial number for an application that has been legitimately purchased and installed. I will post if my investigation yields promising results!!!
    Awesome!
    Cheers all
