serial control for beta pvw2800 deck
Working in iFinish V40 v4.6 on an HP xw6000 workstation, can’t get our beta pvw28000 or J-30 deck to see any serial control info. Software keeps asking if device is turned on and connected to com1 (which it is). Any suggestions on what we’re doning wrong or possible fixes. Does the Keyspan USB High Speed Serial Adapter offer us a possible solution?

I’m not familiar with your version of hardware or software, but I can tell you that the Keyspan serial-to-USB adapter works flawlessly on the Mac side with PVW 2800’s in OS 9 and OSX. It’s cheap enough too
