I am doing story board animatics using FCP. I am receiving jpegs that are 1920×1080. I have to do 24fps because of a handoff to a storyboard program. I am having trouble finding a sequence setting to use that allows my to add zooms on panels without requiring rendering. Right now I am using Apple Pro Res 422 (HQ), 24fps,48k, 24bit, aspect ratio square. I am on a Dual 2 Ghz PowerPC G5, 10G ram. My timeline plays but with green render bar and once I add zooms it needs to be rendered to play properly. I have have adjusted my Rt settings and play base level only with little noticeable change.

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks

I think adding motion to still images ALWAYS requires rendering. that’s just how it is.

I don’t think you need ProRes HQ though – regular ProRes will be fine.

I doubt you need 24-bit audio either. Unless the audio you are using already is 24-bit, 16-bit is fine.

Thanks for the reply. Here is another quick question. I have my Seq. Settings at 24fps , but when I look at the clip info of any of the jpegs they are at 29.97. Why is that?

    Thanks again
