  • Sequence set to non-drop… but it is still drop frame!

Posted by Bill Russell on September 9, 2010 at 1:57 am

Okay, I’m having a super annoying problem. I’ve got a sequence, its set to non-drop frame. But… after months of working on it, I just discovered that the timecode count is non-drop! (skipping count :00 and :01 ever two minutes, as drop frame does.) I’ve tried switching it to drop then back to non-drop, but no fix. My other sequences appear fine (some drop, some non-drop). I REALLY don’t want to have to create a new sequence and render this all out again.

I’ve already trashed preferences. Anybody ever have this problem?

Doh! Nevermind. If you right-click in the timecode box, you can check / uncheck “drop-frame” (or “non-drop”, depending on what your sequence is set at). Must be new… and I can’t fathom what use this is. Oh well.

What happens if you create a new empty sequence non-drop frame, then copy/paste everything into it?
