sennheiser ew100 g2 – bad results
i got the above clip mic system a few years ago and have never got good results from it. the recording has always been distorted and scratchy.
consequently it was put away and has been gathering dust, but i potentially need it working properly in the new year.
i had tried resetting everything but no difference, so was wondering if anyone else has had issues with these.
all the cables look fine but could it be worth trying to replace the mic
any suggestions gratefully recieved

Hello Phil and welcome to the Cow Audio Forum.
The Sennheiser G2 is an entry level workhorse. Proper use does require some knowledge. Mic sensitivity settings, receiver level settings, frequency settings, lav placement, all come into play. In effect, you are operating a miniature radio station.
Perhaps you could post a link to a section of problem audio.

Somewhere on Sennheiser’s site is a way to check your area for interference on the freqs your mic uses.
