  • Sending a Premiere timeline to an existing Encore project

Posted by Sergio Barrozo on March 22, 2011 at 12:56 am

I have edited a video in Premiere and sent it to Encore with markers I created in Premiere.
Now I have modified the video in Premiere and the markers were relocated and I have a new one at the end of my Timeline.
Can I send this new timeline with its markers to my existing Encore project in order I can replace the old Encore timeline? If possible, how do I do this?

    Hi Sergio,

If you are not working with a dynamic link, you can always go into Encore and use Replace Asset. If you are working with dynamic link, saving the Premiere project over the previous one should update the markers (I think).

When using a Dynamic Link from PPro to En there is an awesome feature that has little attention drawn to it whereby if the timeline hasn’t been transcoded yet, you can right click on the DL timeline in Encore and select to update chapter markers and they all get updated to what ever changes you made in the PPro timeline.

    Oh Yeah!
