  • Selecting multiple mask points when a layer is turned off?

Posted by Peter O’connell on October 17, 2005 at 12:54 am

Hi, when I roto I use a solid with its visibilty turned off, that way I can load all my frames into RAM and work much more quickly. The only problem is that some of the functionality associated with masks doesn’t work when the layer is off. For example I can’t grab many points at once, as I can if the layer is turned on. Does anyone have a solution for this?
    Thanks

How about leaving the solid layer turned on but making either the its Opacity or Mask Opacity 0%?

Hi John, when you do that you lose your ram preview as soon as you change a vertex on any mask even if the opacity is 0. Unless I’m missing something.

That’s correct. I don’t know if you have any other choice though.
