I’m working on a project with a camera and numerous drop zones in it. Every time I click on a drop zone within in the main window, it selects the entire group, rather than just the individual drop zone. Then, I can’t move around that drop zone, without moving the entire group of them. The only way I can adjust the individual object, is to first select it in either the timeline or the layers window, and then adjust it in the other. I was wondering if anyone knew why it was doing this, or how to get around it. It’s highly annoying because I have numerous objects in the project, and it gets old having to scroll through them all to find the one thing I need to change. Any suggestions?

Hit X on the keyboard. It produces an expose-like feature that separates all the layers visible at that point in the timeline. Then select the dropzone, and Motion will open the pertinent layer in the layers tab.
