Selecting a clip on timeline with keyboard?
Posted by Fırat Bakır on September 26, 2011 at 10:25 amIs there a keyboard shortcut for selecting a clip in the timeline if you don’t already have one selected? And possibly changing which clip is selected after one is already selected; like using the arrow keys or something?

September 26, 2011 at 4:14 pmSorry, no… you need to select it with the selection tool. You can jump from clip to clip, you can even jump from edit to edit point, but not from one clip selection to another.

September 26, 2011 at 6:37 pmYou can select a clip without the mouse by using the track selection tool to isolate the track where the clip is – then mark in and out and then Option-A to select the clip. A bit cumbersome but I was bored one day and wanted to figure how to do this in case I lost the desire to use a mouse. As far as flipping from clip to clip – not sure except to repeat this process.
