I’ve always made DVD’s in Vegas by Rendering a MPG2 and an AC3 which DVDA “Sees” and burns to disk. Not pretty, but fast. Now I’d like to improve the audio portion. I recorded some nice WAV audio files at 24bit 48k in mono. Can I render WAV in Vegas? I feel like I’ve done that in the past and DVDA “Saw” it, this time it isn’t. If it does work, which WAV format should I use? There are two version to pick from in Vegas though none seem to exactly match the native file. Advice please?

[brian luce] “Can I render WAV in Vegas?”

Your choice of mono, stereo, 5.1 and a whole lot more.

” If it does work, which WAV format should I use?”

DVDA accepts a wide variety of audio formats.
It all depends on what you have your project properties set to.

thanks! But my paradigm has suddenly shifted since I fell in love last night with this TMPGenc encoder. It’s doing my resizing now and I supposed that means I’ll be bound by its audio capabilities.
Huge improvement in the visual quality compared to Vegas’s encoder.
