seeing black
When I export a selection on my timeline to an MOV file, I nearly always get a black first frame. It is not black on the timeline.
Why do I get this anomaly and how do I get the correct output?

Just tried a test…no black frame here using the Adobe Media encoder/QT Sorenson 3/256k preset. Opened the file in QT player and there is the first poster frame.

My setting is ANIMATION, lossless. I use the export under the FILE menu. Same result, even with another project. Poster frame on the timeline is white, while on screen I see black.
But after so many frustrating problems with PREMIERE PRO and its sloven engineering, I’m beginning to see red.

Still cant duplicate your problem…use File>Export>Movie…QT Animation, Millions+ I still get the first frame of the video when opened in QT player 7.03.

Nor me.
I have ordered Premiere Pro 2,0, with a healthy scepticism. 1.5 has been such a punishment that if 2.0 does not correct deficiencies straight out of the box, I will raise a stink they’ll smell on Pluto.
