I can capture into my Power Mac. is there any way to link the two?

You can connect the iMac to the Power Mac in target disk mode. Shut down the iMac. Connect the two with FireWire. Boot the iMac holding the T key. The iMac hard drive will appear on the Power Mac. Is that what you want?
