    Hello all

I’ve been checking out the Blackmagic cards, and they look great. However, is there any way to convert their SDI in/out’s to S-Video? I output most of my professional work to SVHS, and having S Video i/o is crucial.

    Thanks,
    CoolJay

Just use a DV deck to convert your video to S-video – no magic card needed.

Maybe you should check into the AJA io (full version). This box will allow you to ingest/output pretty much any form of analog video and also bring in SDI embedded or with separate AES/EBU audio and will also convert your SDI sources to s-video all in the same box.

If you need an analog only version check out the io LA, or the io LD for an all digital solution.

The Aurora Pipe Studio also inputs and outputs all types of connections (SDI, Component, Composite, S-Video for video and SDI, AES/EBU, SPDIF, XLR balanced analog and RCA unbalanced analog). All these connections are on the break-out-box. I just got an email this morning stating that it is now on sale for $1299.

The IO is also a good option, although editing with the IO box drives me batty when trying to edit music or dialogue.
