At work I have FCP Studio 2 in a G5 2.66GHz Dual-Core Intel w/ 4GB memory I have the Kona LH card installed and a Sony HDV deck for capture. I connected the Kona to the SDI input on the monitor, but I’m only getting audio out of the monitor. I’ve visited the AJA site and read the pdfs they have, but I need more specifis regarding what connection goes where. The Kona has SDI in and 2 SDI out. I only went SDI 1 out to the monitor SDI in. Am I connecting correctly? Thanks!

what monitor are you using, since not all support the SDI connections

my guess is that you do not have an SDI capable monitor.

And along with that, also ensure you’re using the latest 4.0 driver from AJA. That is a must for use with FCS 2.

The monitor is the Panasonic BT-LH2600W P. I also downloaded the latest 4.0 software from AJA. Thanks for any help.

SO are you getting bars from the Kona card?

in the control panel, go to Controls and set it to test pattern > 75% bars

you should be able to see the bars on the monitor.

if not you need to call AJA tech support.

Are you using an AJA Kona Easy Setup?

If so, ensure that External Video is set to All Frames.
