We found a strange behaviour of our multibridge :
If we play a video from our J3 player (Beta dig, sdi) through the multibridge, we can see this video on the composite monitor.
If we play a clip from FCP via the decklink card through the multibridge, there is no signal on the composite monitor.
The sdi out of the card works, we have tested it on a sdi monitor.

    Any idea ?
    Thanks by advance.

    Jacques

the decklink card is the basic one (sdi in out), the computer is a G5 2x 2,7

    Hi Jacques,

That’s weird. Based on your location, I expect you are using PAL decks and monitors. Is there any chance that your monitor is PAL only and that you are outputting NTSC from FCP? Please ensure you have used the Blackmagic easy setups to create your (PAL) project. Does that help? If not, create a new PAL project and then use the facility in FCP to output Bars & Tone in the PAL format. Does that successsfully output? If none of this works, please quit from FCP and try using Blackmagic Deck Control to output your PAL material. Can you see video on the composite monitor?

Is your DeckLink desktop set to PAL or NTSC? Does the desktop output to the monitor via Multibridge SD?

    Hello Luke,

    Thank you for the support.
Well, I think I’ve already tried most of your suggestions. I output a Pal signal from FCP, the monitor is Pal.
I’ve tried the deck control and the same thing happens : no signal on the composite
    Same for desktop output.
My easy setup is Blackmagic Pal 8 bits.

I’ll be in the office in an hour and will check if my Decklink desktop is on Pal.
I will also try another decklink card (Extreme).

    I’ll keep you informed.

BTW, Blackmagic has the best support I ever found on the web …Thank you for that !

    Hi Jacques,

Thank you for your kind words. Please also ensure you are using the current Multibridge 1.52 software just in case that makes a difference. It’s a strange problem as we always test DeckLink with Multibridge so I’ll be very interested to read about your latest tests.
