    Hey all,

Also posted on the AJA forum.

I’ve had my LH working great doing analog capture for the past 4 or 5 months. Tomorrow a director and the agency are coming by with some footage shot DVCpro50 and a DVCpro deck they are renting. My system: G5 2gig dual, 4.5 gigs Ram OS 10.4.2, FCP 5, Kona LH.

    Is this as simple as:

coming out of the deck into the SDI in on the back of the card, and setting my Kona control panel and FCP settings accordingly? Does it matter that my project is already 8 bit uncompressed? (The B-roll footage we captured last week for this project was on Beta)

Will the SDI in also bring in the audio? (talking heads)

Any gottchyas to be wary of?

    Thanks in advance…

    Have a wonderful day.

Hi. I do not see any problem capturing from SDI to your card. Make sure that in your capture settings you specify SDI to 8 bit uncompressed and you will be working in the same compression of your project. Audio should be embedded as long as you use the correct imput. Do not use EBU audio use the other one.

    I hope it helps

    peace
