    Hi,

I’m working on some SD PAL projects, with footage shot from DV camera and being SD PAL (interlaced).

So I edit in Final Cut. On the same time, I made some OP, lowerthird from after effects in rendering out as animation/PNG codec (with alpha).

Problem comes when I put the graphic elements(progressive) in FCP,
after exporting out as SD PAL clip, the footages look fine but the graphics are interlaced.

May I ask what’s the correct workflow on that?

SD PAL is interlaced so that is normal for your sequence settings. Is there a problem with the graphics? I drop tiffs & png graphics into SD timelines without any problem. If there is movement or animation then I ask the AE people to export with fields on and there is no problem with credit rolls etc.

It’s just normal still & motion graphic.

Never try a sequence, I would give a try, though I think a single quicktime file can be more well managed.
