SD card protection
I bought a ThinkTank SD/Compact Flash card holder (“PeeWee PPR”)- very convenient.
But I found myself wondering: do SD cards need the little plastic cases they come in, for their protection? Or can they ride bareback in those card holders?

As long as the holder itself is sealed from dust and moisture inside- should be good to go. I use a Pelican case with bare SDHC cards inside- no issues.
