This revised script will skip any frames that do not retrieve a valid snap shot. Obviously if you end up getting too many missed frames the script is not much worth.

    Hi,

i just tested the script, but i got over 440 missed frames. What really mazes is that the script worked with you so why doesnt it with me? Is there anything wrong with my Vegas or something? Maybe my settings? Im totally puzzled but i still appreciate your time and help.

The first thing you should try is setting the preview window to Best(Full). It will slow down the script but it might force Vegas to decode frames properly. If this is still the test project try re-encoding the video in something other than x264 and see if you get the same 440 frames missing again.

    Hi,

i always have it set to full, and now i tried on a video with different encoding but it still stops at 10.13. Its very weird. Im pretty sure i have the wrong settings or something. I just hope its not OS related.

Sorry what version of Vegas are you using? I think the only thing left to do now is to upgrade.

    I am using Vegas 12.

There is one more thing you can try. Turn GPU acceleration off. Vegas 11 was known for being extremely buggy in that area. If the preview window is pushed solely through the CPU it might not miss frames.

    Hi,

im afraid it didnt work either. I think my only choice now is to upgrade. I hope that fixes it.

Excellent news. I think Vegas 11 needs to find a home in the country somewhere to live out the rest of it’s life in peace far away from people.
