Screwed If You Have to Re-Install FCP7
I just saw a post that stated that Apple has pulled their update path for FCP7. If so, are we all screwed if we have problems and have to do a clean reinstall?
Maybe software update would still take care of that? I am a little nervous…FCP has been acting klugy on me and I was going to do a clean install. Now…?

So far there have been mixed reports that online updates are gone and that others say they are still available. Read this thread..

I just tried software update and do get a ProKIt update. But in-order to see if you get the updates for FCP 7, I will need to install on a new machine and then do the software update.
Either way, it seems that the ability to download the updates, store and install when needed (without a internet connection), isn’t happening….

ohhh… posts below say that they are still available via software update but not as a separate download…

If you google search you can find the download updates out there hosted by others….just a matter of looking.
It’s always recommended to have them this way saved somewhere just in case your internet goes down or they get pulled as apple has done.
I’m kinda pissed that they did it so quickly.
