I’m using FCP 4.5, which, as many of you who are holding on to old software because you can’t afford the new stuff know, only works with QT 7.2 and below. I inadvertently allowed iTunes to upgrade to 8.0 (damn those upgrades!)and now it will not work with QT 7.2. If I upgrade my QT, I cannot use FCP 4.5.

Of course this is Apple’s way of forcing you to always buy, buy, buy. I’ve tried re-installing iTunes 7.5 from my backup drive, but it doesn’t work because it says the Library was created with a newer version.

Workaround, anyone? Or a way to revert iTunes back without reverting all of the computer files?

    Thanks

Delete the iTunes Library. You will have to import the music again, and make your playlists, but at least you can get it working.

Thanks, Shane. BTW – I thought your DVD on getting organized in FCP was great.
