Screen text with blinking cursor
I wonder if anyone can help.
I’m trying to create a MOGTR for someone in premier to be able to create titles than screen on like a computer with a blinking cursor. The problem I am facing is the client wants the cursor to be more of a block shape than a standard | So far I’ve managed to get there with the | but the way I have done it is to use the character base from my font as my selection for the cursor and I can’t work out how to change this. If I try to change the shape of the cursor the tracking goes askew as the text screens on. Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂

I’m not sure how you are currently adding the cursor, but if you are adding the pipe (‘|’) in the sourceText, then you might be able to use a text animator to text layer to select just the last character of the sourceText and adjust the x-scale of the pipe to make it wider.
