Is there a simple way in After Effects to remove computer screen flicker from video? I had received some footage that is to made into an instructional video. Personally I would like to reshoot and adjust the refresh rate of the computer, but the individual no longer is available to shoot this video.

even if you remove the flicker with tinderbox deflicker, msu’s deflicker or AE’s color stabilzer, you’ll still have moving scanlines on the computer monitor in the video footage. Mask it out and export out an alpha channel with just the computer screen, then deflicker that part and put it back in mask feathered.

    Hi

I attached the sample of flicker I have on some footage I did 15 years ago with my 2nd hand VHS-C video camera.
It had some problems with exposure, I think…

    MSU deflicker doesn’t help here.

Any ideas? Maybe Adobe After Effects? (I am really new with this product)

    Thanks
