scratch disk loading up without capture
HI,
I am having a frustrating problem – I am capturing from a non-controllable device in DV quality to FCP 4.5 on a dual 800GHz G4. When I select the scratch disk, the disk capacity is suddenly 1.9 gigs (as opposed to 40 gigs seconds earlier). I switched scratch disks to a disk with 14 gigs available and the same thing happens. Now all my disks have only 1.86 gigs available space! I was told to limit the capture now- so I selected 30 min. and then 15 minutes with no change. I have no idea what filled up the disks so fast when no capture was done.
Sounds weird, I know – twilight zone – can anyone help?

Not true,
You can set the capture now time limit in user prefs. (under 30 mins for no audio sync problems is recommended)
