Scrambled footage names in 6.5
What would cause footage names in an AE 6.0 project to get scrambled when opened with AE 6.5? By scrambled I mean the characters in the names are replaced with what appears to be random ASCII characters. Could the 6.0 projects be corrupt in some way? Is there anyway to verify this?

No expressions and no platform switching. Both AE 6.0 and 5.6 are running under Windows XP + SP2.

A side-by-side screenshot of the AE 6.0 and 6.5 project can be seen at https://www.victorypointfx.com/misc/ae_problem.jpg. It’s almost as if AE 6.5 is using some strange font to display the footage names. All the footage elements appear to display fine in AE 6.5 however I can’t copy/paste them between the AE and Premiere Pro timeline.
