Scooting the Americas! Advice needed with travel software
Hey guys,
In a few weeks a friend and I are embarking on a 29,000km scooter expedition from the north coast of Alaska to the southern tip of Argentina. We will be filming our trip with a handfull of GoPro cameras (1080p @ 30 fps) a Panasonic SD700 camcorder (1080p, 50p (PAL)) and a Canon 550d with Magic Lantern (1080p @ 30fps). We will be recording a lot of footage and storing it on external hard drives (not the best, we know). We’d like to have the ability to cut some of the footage on the road to save space and were looking for advice on a lightweight editing program solely for the purpose of cutting out crap footage we don’t need. We’ll probably be travelling with a HP laptop, i5 with 6GB of RAM (not ideal, we know)loaded with Windows 7 64bit. Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated.
