Hardly know how to describe what’s happened to my timeline horizontal scroll bar.
‘Out of the blue’ the scroll bar has just about zeroed out to a small button at the far left of the scroll box. If I move the reduced scroll bar a fraction, the whole project (35 mins long) instantly compresses to the far left of the workspace and practically disappears. At this point the Time Ruler shows a massive 19:35:00:00.
The only way to get the project back to a workable size in the workspace is to use the zoom in (+) button. While this helps, it is very inconvenient to move around the project (horizontally) without the benefit of the slider/scroll bar.
Having not had this problem before I have apparently accidentally changed some setting somewhere. Or, the issue may have developed when the project auto-saved following a power failure. I did re-save the project.
    Any assistance would be appreciated.

[Bob Hobart] “At this point the Time Ruler shows a massive 19:35:00:00.”

The timeline is only as long as the end of the last event that is placed on it. This suggests that somehow an event got moved all the way out to 19:35:00:00. Find that event and delete it or move it back where it belongs.
