  • Scene looks great in AE, too dark in FCP

I am having some difficulty understanding the scene I have lit in After Effects. I have the lighting set up I want nice and dynamic, well exposed etc. Upon rendering the composition and placing it in FCP it looks nothing like what I have created in After Effects, way too dark. I have an external monitor that displays via a AJA KONA 3 video card. When I working in AE with this monitor all is fine. Upon rendering and bringing into FCP that same monitor shows me something toally different.

I am running CS5, AJA Kona, and FCP 7. Any thoughts, and help are most appreciated.

    Many Thanks in advance.

Try using any output other than a QuickTime movie. QuickTime is notorious for giving unpredictable results with gamma.
