scene detect + speed change a 24fps clip to 18fps issues..
Question 1.
I need to scene detect a 24fps clip and conform the scene cuts to 18fps without the tail end of the clips being cut off in the session. What is the workflow for this?
I have a clip at 24fps.
I need to scene detect the cuts.
I need all the scene detected clips to play back at 18fps.I tried doing the scene detect, then a little dialogue box pops up saying it will do it at 24fps. (I do not know how to change this to 18fps) so I say OK.
I click Conform.
Create a new session.
All the clips are placed onto the timeline/session.
I change the speed of the clips to 18fps > but the cuts do not move so all the clips are cut off at the tails.
Can I change the speed and have all the clips extend to their full length? Is there a better workflow or way to tackle this in resolve?
Question 2:
I may also want to dust bust manually some of these clips, but dust busting doesn’t work well on clips speed changed to 18fps.. they frames that are duplicated cannot be dust busted. So the dust bust would have to happen before I speed change this clips.. but I cannot dust bust unless the clips are in the viewer.Thank you!
