  Scene cut and EDL – very useful

  I’ve been handed a music video, shot on 5D MK II, EX1 and RED. For some reason they have converted the shots from the 5D and EX1 to Apple Motion JPEG. DaVinci wouldn’t read those, so the EDL I exported did nothing but confuse the Conform Room.

  So I tried something I had only though of.. I exported the entire sequence as a Prores 422 HQ file, an EDL and added the Prores file for Scene Cut Detection. There’s a button to both load and save EDL.

  I Loaded EDL. Need I say more?
