I just restored an old Creator project using Retrospect. I need to use the video and audio assets to build anew bversion of the project. However, the video assets will not import in Scenarist. They are Creator encodes so I have had to join the mpeg segements in MS DOS to create a stream which Scenarist should recognise. I have always done this in the past when using Creator encodes and never had problems. This time I get the following error message (Error This video has unknown picture type. File offset = 335556041. [C:\BHprog1.mpv]) and Scenarist rejects the asset.

Is this just a corrupt restore or is there anything else I can do? I have run it through Procoder to create a new mpeg and this imports without issue, and the origianl file can be played in software players such as Cineplayer and Nero.

It must not like the header. Try running your mpeg though ReStream. You can also try joining the mpegs within Scenarist by using the “multi-data asset” function.

Already tried all that in the meantime! Neither worked out for me.
