  • Scaling with no blur for 8-bit video game look

    Hey all,
I’m planning on doing some animation that looks 8-bit, video game style, and I was wondering what kind of setting was available for scaling an image without it blurring and antialiasing, i.e. keeping it jagged. I want to keep the pixelation visible.

You can set the quality switch to ‘Draft’ on the layer and that should give you a nicely pixelated look. Also there is the Stylize > Mosaic effect that works really well for an 8-bit look if you tweak the settings (I’d recommend using ‘Sharp Colors’).
