  • Scaling rounded corners?

Posted by Jerry Smith on April 17, 2016 at 8:19 am

I have a complex path. Outside is a path drawn with the pen tool. In side are rectangles with rounded corners that I made with the rectangle tool. These were created with the settings on points rather than pixels and they are pretty small. Maybe 8 pixels across. When I go to transform and scale up, everything scales as it should except the rounded corners which get smaller and smaller relative to the rest of the compound path. What did I do wrong? How do I fix it? Thanks in advance.

Alt-click on the scale tool, it gives you the scaling options. Select “scale rectangle corners”.

That didn’t work for me, but I did find “Scale Corners” after selecting object, right click, transform, scale>options. After checking that I can now click and drag and everything works great. Good to know this can be turned on or off. Thanks for leading me in the right direction.
