    Hi,

I’m working on an art installation with 9 screens that was shot on DV Pal. We’ve scaled down the image to 24% but now getting some ugly pixels. I suspect it’s because the image is too squashed (right?).

The installation will be projected on a 2.20×2.20 meters screens so we really have to find a solution..

Any ideas what can be done about it I’m sure there’s a solution..!

    Many thanks in advance,

    Shira

Your description is not very clear. Are you using nine projectors? How are you syncing the 9 separate playback systems? Why did you scale it down if you’re just going to blow it up? All you are doing is making the pixels bigger. You want more pixels to start with and you may be too late askig how to do this properly.

You can explore the digital signage industry and you will find a device known as a scalar. You get one input and any number of digitally created outputs.

You could go back to your original and recreate it at 300% standard frame size for PAL so you end up with nine slices that are each 100% scale PAL.
