i am doing alot of quick zooms in ProRes 25i. it looks fine on my monitors through Kona 3 but i need to post for a client and the h264 quicktimes look rather nasty. Is there any solution to get that interlacing out in quick slides and scaling? the furthest i am going is 200 in scale and always landing on a whole number… thanks!

I presume the H264’s are preview files and viewed on a computer monitor. You might want to deinterlace those when making them with frame controls in Compressor.

That way you leave your sequence as interlaced but get rid of the interlace which can’t be displayed on a computer monitor.

My key-frames we re adjusting for interlaced monitor playback, if you find yourself in the same situation copy your sequence and change the field dominance to none (p). the quicktimes came out great. I feel like i got beat up. That sucked. Hope this helps some people out there. Keep cuttin.

Hey Michael thanks for the response. I tried to export out of compressor using the de-interlace in frame controls and it didnt work. I was really surprised because compressor usually takes care of anything like that…
