  Scaling Bug with Custom Size-soln found

  I’ve been routinely working with 4k DCI footage from an F5; and, recently started working on 5K (5280x 2972) from a drone. There’s a distinct difference in the way Resolve handles “custom” sizes. It does not scale the external video monitor properly, or at least, it doesn’t scale it the way 4K resolution does. If I select a custom timeline resolution and select HD monitoring, it doesn’t properly scale the video monitor. It works ok with a 4k source, but, not a 5K source.

  edit: Solution-hardware setup plays out source footage to Ultrastudio 4K, which feeds a 2k monitor. When the source video is routed thru the downscaled sdi ports on the ultrastudio, it does scaling based on the source resolution. Therefore, if I select UHD resolution for video monitoring, the ultrastudio then scales to HD appropriately sized.
