Let’s say I have a bunch of layers displayed in a comp. the distance between them is 10 pixels… (see img 01).

If I scale up a layer, I want the other one to move away from the one that is being scale up and keep the same distance in between (see img 02)

    Any idea?

There are a lot of unknowns in your spec. You mention having layers move away but your image seems to show them scaling to make room. Is there only one scaling layer that the others have to respond to, or do they all need to react to what any of the others is doing (much more complicated)? Does your image represent your actual layout, or is there a larger grid involved? Stuff like that.

In the example, the gray squares are not scaling down (it’s just an illusion). 🙂

Yes I need every layers to be interactive with each other. I imagine it is more complicated. If it is too much work, forget it. But If you can help, it would be so helpful.

    Thanks !!

It can get complicated in a hurry. Say you start with a 3×3 grid of equal-sized squares. Now say you scale up the one in the upper left corner. What happens to the ones on the diagonal? Now say you scale up the one in the upper right corner. Where does everything end up? To automate it, you need to have very comprehensive rules defined so the expression knows what to do under any circumstances. If the objects start out at different sizes, it gets even more complicated. It might not be worth it.

Ok Thanks anyway. I will check with another software like C4D and Mograph module. 🙂
