Scale to Fit in Premiere and AE CC
Why does the “scale to fit” option in the Blackmagic setup window not seem to work for me in either PPro or AE CC?
I shoot 4K with a Sony F55 and often edit and composite in PPro CC and AE CC in that resolution, but don’t currently have a 4K monitor. So, I’m monitoring in HD via my DeckLink 4K Extreme’s HDMI output. It’d be nice if I could see my edits in that monitor, albeit in HD.
Does this “scale to fit” not work in my situation? It seems to do nothing.

We have the Ultra Studio 4K running under OSX and have the exact same issue. BMD really are sub-par to AJA in this regard. Either I’m doing something wrong or the features just aren’t there.
What you can do to remedy this is edit in an HD timeline and when the edit is done, copy everything over to a UHD timeline before output.
