I am getting sawtooth edges on my DVD when there is any movement within the video. I burned in Architect.

I’m rendered the project as mpg using the Architect NTSC Widescreen Stream template.

My project setting for my video are HDV 1080i. Should I make those settings NTSC DV widescreen instead before rendering?

I’m baffled. So many settings to deal with!! Any help I’d appreciate. Thanks.

That sounds like an interlacing problem. Did you change any of the interlace settings (i.e., field order).

Here’s a screen shot of what the properties are in Vegas.
As you can see the interlace is set to none.
Thanks for helping. I don’t know what I’d do without the forum. It’s really wonderful to get help with problems.

This is why you are seeing the interlacing… because you turned deinterlacing off. Turn it back on on the interlacing lines will go away.

I just installed Vegas on my new computer. Don’t remember turning it off. Sorry to be such a dummy but with INTERPERLATE and BLEND, which is the better choice.
    Thanks again so much.

    Use “Interpolate” for high-motion content.
Use “Blend” for low motion content.

…and the default is “Blend Fields” if you don’t change it so that’s what I’d start with. You could also just reselect the template unless you permanently saved it with your own changes.

Thanks guys. Can’t tell you how good it is to get answers that would otherwise take many hours and sometimes days to figure out.
