  saving .wav in Soundbooth

  I have used Adobe Audition for years and have recently switched to Soudbooth because Audition is not yet available for MAC. When save an mp3 as a wav it takes close to 17 minutes. In Audition it used to take like only 3 minutes? Any tips on how to improve this? I’m not changing the rate. Both the MP3 and .wav are both at 44100.
