You can save styles, but I’ve never had complete success doing in Boris Title 3D.

Instead I’ve found a soloution that works best for me in FCP that is kinda bassakwards in comparison to the way other things seem to work. Instead of applying characteristics to a graphic, I save a master copy of in a bin and cut into my project, and once its in place I then open it tailor is for that spot. Does that make sense?

My approach (one I’ve borrowed from my Avid way of thinking) is to make a default title and then put it in the timeline and edit it. So I set it up, then drag it into a bin.

    Seems to work.

Amazing, something from my backward Avid way of doing things that carries over 🙂

I’ve just watch 20-something short films, and twenty the night before, and twenty (including mine) tomorrow… My brain is mush now.

I’ve never had a problem with Title 3D and saving styles. In fact, it’s saved me TON’s of time. For a while there, Boris was offering some stock styles you could download from their website (though I think they’ve trashed that since Studio 1 came out). What problems have you had with it?

A quick trick that I use when initially laying in all my titles is to:
    1. Drag a new Title 3D into my timeline.
    2. Adjust it to my liking.
    3. Option drag the Title 3D clip in my timeline to a new place. This copies the file, so that all I have to do is retype the new title, leaving all my other controls the same.
