Saving a Transition
Posted by Vagn Steen on February 21, 2012 at 6:05 pmYes, I’m a new user. I have created several custom project specific wipes and would like to save them in a “favorites” bin. I learned how to save custom effects but cannot seem to save a custom transition. Is it possible? Thank you all in advance,
Vagn

February 21, 2012 at 9:05 pmI’ve got a short show, with three wipes. The direction, width, rate and color are different.
so your are saying… Adobe PP won’t let me save these and apply later?Kidding right? I do this all the time in other editing apps.

February 21, 2012 at 10:42 pmWhat you can do is make a template sequence…
place some edits with the transitions in that sequence.
Later you can always copy and paste the transitions…
It’s a bit of a hack….but it sould work…

You should make a feature request:

February 22, 2012 at 6:12 pmThis has been a request for over 10 years! Actually more like 15 years…
Adobe will NOT do it, why should they, users would not but After Effects as much if Premiere did these things.
Unfortunately Adobe and Avid has us, FCP is EOL unless you want FCPX (possibly a “gift” from Apple).

Please don’t use this “line” anymore. Adobe knows what they are doing, so do all the software companies. Give a bunch of new features, remove some important features, keep an upgrade cycle going, we know the drill, it’s sad. This has been requested for over 15 years. Goes waaaayyyyy back to the beginnings of Premiere in the 90’s.
