  • Save an emitter?

Posted by Ken Plotin on August 30, 2005 at 2:57 am

    Hi All,
Like it says: how do I save an emitter so that it can be recalled for another project. I’ve checked the help files in PI3 without success.
I can bring up librarys, but I downloaded this “vapor” emitter from the PI site or Elvis’ as an individual file.
    All help appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ken

If you want to save it to a library, just right-click on it and choose Add To Library from the menu that appears. Then save the library, and next time you open it up, the emitter will be there.

You can also just save it as a project file, and then the next time you need it, open up the project, select the emitter and copy it, start a new project and paste it in.

    Thanks Elvis.
I finally got the copy/paste thing betwen projects. Guess I was looking for an easy drag and drop to/from libraries kind of thing.
However, the save to library works fine.
    Thanks again,
    Ken

To move emitters around between libraries, you can use the Library Manager. You can get to it by hitting Ctrl+M or choosing Manage Library from the right-click menu in the library window.
