August 10, 2006 at 2:10 pmHi Bart
I was just thinking about this, since I need to expand. This would mean a Mac Pro (Intel – needs this sanmp universal binary), and a new fibre channel drive array. If I consider the Huge range (4105, 4110 etc) I run into problems, because they only have one LU each. And sanMP needs more LU’s to split into more write volumes…
Which drive arrays (besides ADTX) would you suggest that can split into more LU’s?
Thanks

August 10, 2006 at 3:44 pmYou can partition the drive and make multiple write volumes from one LUN.
I’ve made 32 Volumes with one X Serve RAID (configured with only 2 RAID 5 LUNS.)

We do not have a specific date on the delivery of Universal Binary. As of right now, the most accurate timeframe I can estimate is late October. This is a priority that we are working on right now. We will keep our clients informed as the time comes closer.
