It may not be compatible with the EX1. The cards need to be fast enough to support the bit rate.

    I purchased Sony’s Memory Stick 32GB Pro-HG Duo HX.

    They work fine, no issues.

I was told by the sales person that I should be able to do it as long as I don’t overcrank.

CHeck to see what firmware you have on the EX1 and up grade to the latest. If you have an original EX1 they need a special firmware needs to be installed before you can load the latest.

    Good Luck

I forgot about that. I believe Michael is correct, you need to make sure your camera has the latest FW.

In the release notes you they do post some limitations. You can’t record slow motion with the media adapter. You need SxS cards.

Thanks, it might be very well be that. However the link here is for the EX-1R does it make a difference from the EX-1?

The EX1r is easier to update the firmware than the EX1. You have to be at a certain firmware level to be able to upgrade by yourself. Maybe Ian will pop on here and explain and point you to the link. It has been discussed here before.
