SAn recommendations
We’re thinking of getting a SAN for our editing and animation workstations, and since i wasnt able to make it to NAB this year, I was wondering if anyone of you guys could give some recommendations on the best SAN options showcased at NAB. Thanks

I can’t speak for anything else, but we have been slamming on an Apple XSAN for 5 months and it’s been 100% for us. But it comes at a premium price and you REALLY need a XSAN expert to come in to do a hardware estimation plus the initial setup of the whole San = $$$$.

Are you going to have a mixture of Mac and Windows system on the SAN ?

Yes, but the macs will only be for motion graphics so they only need near line storage via gigabit as compared to the WinXP/Decklink editing stations which will need FC controllers.
